This is Friendship
When visiting the tapestries at the MET Cloisters in New York, I was moved by the evidence of the human hand that was obvious in the work, it was this that sparked my mission to preserve the importance of the handmade and show this evidence of human contact to anyone willing to see it. Through this piece, I aim to expose the romance of the human touch and force the viewer to look deep into the work and see the love, friendship, and actual handiwork that went into it. The tactile nature of my work invites the viewer to touch and explore and become part of the piece alongside its creators.
